HINCKLEY, Ill. (AP) – A Joliet woman was hospitalized after her vehicle struck one of several cows on a road in DeKalb County.
WGLC Radio reports that 60-year-old Martha Johnson was heading east on U.S. 30 when the accident happened early Thursday west of Hinckley Airport.
Authorities say the impact caused Johnson’s vehicle to go into the ditch, roll over and catch fire.
DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department deputies say Johnson got out of the vehicle before it caught fire. There’s no word on her condition.
