The St. Louis Cardinals look to end the first half of the 2012 season by taking a series from the Miami Marlins before the All-Star break begins. Ron talks Redbird baseball with television play-by-play broadcaster Dan McLaughlin of Fox Sports Midwest.
This past week, 52 area men gathered at T.R. Hughes Ballpark to reclaim the official Guinness World Record title for the longest baseball game. The event raised more than $150,000 for Backstoppers. Sports Open Line host Kevin Wheeler was a part of the game and joined Ron to discuss the experience.
Ron attempts to cool listeners with the ice-filled thoughts of Blues hockey. Along with some moves they made, GM Doug Armstrong also talks about other big deals happening in the NHL.
The tough work has maybe just begun for Cardinals GM John Mozeliak. Ron does his best to get insight from Mo’, who will certainly have decisions to make by the end of the month when the non-waiver trade deadline arrives.
