CUBA, Mo. (KMOX) - Saturday night’s severe weather outbreak killed one in Crawford County — southwest of St. Louis.
Rodney Neff is the emergency management coordinator for the city of Cuba, where the death occurred, “There were two vehicles sitting in the front parking lot of a grocery store when the wind picked the roof up. It threw the store’s roof right onto those two cars.”
The victim, found in one of the cars, has only been described as a female.
Neff says the storm certainly made its mark in Cuba, “We have trees down, roof damage. Trees fell on some homes. Utility poles snapped due to trees falling.”
The town’s post office had its roof heavily damaged.
