Two Suspected St. Louis Murderers Charged

ST. LOUIS (KMOX)-Charges have been filed against two suspected St. Louis murderers.

St. Louis Police say 22-year-old James Turner is accused of shooting 27-year-old Conrad Adams in the chest during an attempted  robbery on June 12th in the 8900 block of Edna. Investigators say Turner got out of his car and into another vehicle parked at a curb. As Adams then got out of the suspect’s car, he was shot.

Turner is charged with 2nd degree murder, 1st degree attempted robbery and two counts of armed criminal action. His bond is set at $500,000 cash only.

21-year-old Byron Pollard is accused of opening fire on a man and woman in a drive-by attack in the 3800 block of Louisiana on June 27th.   26-year-old Ira Steele died of multiple gunshot wounds to the face and chest. A 20-year-old woman survived despite being hit several times in the back.

Investigators say Pollard was one of three men in the vehicle, a red Pontiac G6.

Pollard is charged with first degree murder, first degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action. His bond is set at $500,000 cash only.
