GERALD, Mo. (KMOX)- Growing concern for the well-being of two sisters who walked away from their home in Gerald Missouri Monday morning.

Lieutenant T.J. Heidbreder with Gerald police says the girls apparently planned to walk to St. Peters to meet with friends.

“From the information that we’ve gathered, they started out on foot and a blue vehicle may have picked them up,” Heidbreder says.

Makayla Kosatka, 14-years-old, and her 12-year-old sister Ceinanna took off on foot around 9 a.m. Monday from their home in Gerald.

They haven’t been seen nor heard from since.

“Unfortunately, we just don’t have a whole lot of information as to where they are, that’s what makes me a little nervous,” Heidbreder says. “I’ve been involved with missing juveniles before in the past and we found them usually within an hour and a half to two hours.”

Heidbreder says there’s some evidence that the sisters may have been heading to St. Peters to meet up with someone they became acquainted with over the Internet.

Anyone with information regarding the girls’ locations should contact the Gerald Police Department at (573) 764-3424 or (573) 368-8010.
