Heat Claims More Lives


ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Eighteen total heat deaths now across the metro area including 14 in St. Louis City.

St. Louis City Health Director Pamela Walker says two of the victims were 43-year-old homeless men. The other two were 70 and 72-year-old men.

The 70-year-old man lived in a four family flat with a broken air conditioning.

That brings the heat wave death total to 14 in St. Louis City, two in St. Louis County and two in the Metro East.
