ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -  Police shooed away bystanders and media — for their own protection — as they investigated a pair of fatal shootings that happened twelve hours apart on the same north St. Louis street.

36-year-old Anthony Henderson was gunned down during a driveby in the 2000 block of E. John just before 4 m Wednesday.

Police say Henderson had been driving down the street when another car pulled alongside and shots were fired.

He tried to get out and run but collapsed with multiple gunshot wounds and later died.

Police were called back to the 2000 block of E. John around 3 am Thursday and found the body of 33-year-old Antwone Chatman lying in a vacant lot, shot in the back.

No suspects are reported in either shooting.
