ST. LOUIS (AP) — A woman who was sexually assaulted in St. Louis says her attacker posed as a police officer.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the 27-year-old victim was assaulted Thursday. She told police that a 45-year-old man flashed a badge and put her in handcuffs, saying he was a St. Louis County police officer. He then allegedly took her behind a building and sexually assaulted her.
Officers will seek warrants against the suspect and do not believe he is a police officer. No police badges were found during a search of his home and vehicle.
