Man Shot in Groin While Waiting for Bus on Washington Ave.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — A man is in stable condition after police say he was shot in the groin Monday morning while waiting at a bus stop at 6th St. and Washington Avenue.

The 37-year-old victim told police he was approached by a man demanding bus money around 1:15 a.m. The victim refused to give the suspect any money and actually turned to run away, but the suspect opened fire.

The victim is being treated at a local hospital.
