ST. LOUIS Mo, (KMOX)–An Edwardsville man convicted of shaking his baby daughter to death faces up to 60 years in prison.

Waiving his right to a jury, 31-year-old Torrancec “Tyrone” Rogers was found guilty Thursday of first-degree murder.

Rogers had already spent nearly seven years in prison for injuring his child, Taylor Rogers in 1999, after she wouldn’t stop crying. That incident left the girl nearly blind and required her to be given around-the-clock care. Taylor Rogers was 9 when she eventually died in 2009.

A sentencing date wasn’t immediately set.
