ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Kelly Hoskins, Vice President of Marketing for Wehrenberg Theatres told KMOX News on behalf of the management of the theatre chain they are deeply saddened by the events that took place in Aurora, Colorado. Hoskins also said they have strong security in place at all their facilities.
“While it’s a single act of violence, it brings to light just how strong security systems need to be in our complexes.”
Hoskins said, “as humanly possible” Wehrenberg is very sensitive to the safety and security of their movie going patrons.
“Of the things I can talk about, every one of our facilities, has uniformed and non uniformed police officers that survey the complex, that go through it from the time they open until the time they close.”
Hoskins said that is a very strong force for us.
“Also our managers and our staff carry wireless walkie-talkies, they also carry panic buttons which alert security to the exact location of any trouble if its needed and we check our exit doors on a regular basis.”
Hoskins said what people will see this weekend, in light of the tragedy in Colorado, are many of our staff and managers out in the lobby greeting guests just to give them a sense of feeling comfortable; “we’re here and our security systems are in place.”
Wehrenberg is the oldest family-operated theatre chain in the United States.
