ST. LOUIS (KMOX)– MoDOT crews will close all lanes and ramps on westbound I-64 between Broadway and 21st Street on the double deck structure Tuesday and Wednesday night starting at 8:30 p.m. to shift traffic onto newly resurfaced lanes.
Two lanes will reopen by 4 a.m. the following morning.
During the closure, ramps from 10th and 14th Street will only be open to westbound I-64 to allow Cardinal fans to return home after the games each night.
The detour for the closure is to take westbound I-44 to Jefferson and back to westbound I-64.
When westbound I-64 opens Thursday morning, traffic will be driving on the two left lanes, while the right lane will be closed.
Because the right lane will be closed, the ramps from 10th Street and 14th Street will be closed around the clock.
Traffic will need to use Pine Street, Jefferson Avenue or Market/Compton Interchange to access westbound I-64 from the city.
In addition, after Thursday, westbound traffic will only be able to use the 9th Street and 21st/Market exits from westbound I-64 during the morning rush period.
Those ramps will be closed weekdays between 10 a.m. and 3 a.m. the following morning.
