St. Charles Co. Teen Arrested For Firing Gun At Rivals

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) –  An 18-year-old is in custody after he allegedly opened fire on a rival and several others Sunday night in St. Charles County.

“There was a feud between two different groups of kids,” explained sheriff’s spokesman Lt. David Tiefenbrunn. “One was threatening to go to the other kid’s house to basically do some bodily harm, engage in a physical altercation.”

When a carload of youth stopped in front of the suspect’s home in a subdivision near Mid-Rivers Mall Drive and Mexico Road, the suspect stepped outside with a handgun and fired three to five times according to Tiefenbrunn.

Nobody was hit and no injuries were reported, and there were no reports of property damage from the gunshots.

St. Charles sheriff’s deputies were patrolling near the area and were able to stop those involved in the incident.

The 18-year-old shooter will not be identified until formal charges are filed.
