MoDOT Delays Westbound I-64 Closure

ST. LOUIS – MoDOT has delayed the impending westbound overnight closures of westbound I-64 between Broadway and 21st Street downtown until at least Thursday night. Work has been delayed because high temperatures have prevented crews from completing work needed prior to moving traffic onto the newly resurfaced roadways.

Crews will close all lanes and ramps on westbound I-64 between Broadway and 21st Street on the double-deck structure Thursday night, starting at 8:30 p.m. The two right lanes will reopen by 4 a.m. Friday morning.

The detour for the closure is to take westbound I-44 to Jefferson and back to westbound I-64.

The remainder of the work will be completed during this weekend’s scheduled closure of westbound I-64 between Broadway and 21st Street. Crews will close westbound I-64 at 10 a.m. Friday and reopen the two left lanes by 5 a.m. Monday.
