Stopping for Deer Kills Three near Greenville

GREENVILLE, Ill. (KMOX) Tragedy strikes a Bond County, Illinois family.

A mother and her two young children died, Thursday night, in a crash on Interstate 70 in central Illinois.

Illinois State Police say 41-year-old Suzette Lee of Mulberry Grove stopped her car in traffic to let some deer cross the roadway.

An oncoming semi-truck hit Lee’s car from behind.

Eight-year-old Lillian Lee and six-year-old Vivian Lee were killed, along with their mother.

The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital in Greenville.
