ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Highway 64/40 in Chesterfield was closed for several hours this morning when a wrong-way driver clipped a Greyhound bus and then slammed head-on into a car.
The wrong-way driver died. The driver of the car he hit, survived. On board the bus, only the driver was injured. Those injuries are described as minor.
Another Sunday morning accident – at St. Jacob, Illinois – has taken two lives.
The single-vehicle accident happened at about 6:45 Sunday morning on Ellis Road in St. Jacob. The driver and passenger died at the scene.
And in South County, a woman has died while riding an all terrain vehicle. Police say four people were riding two ATVs on railroad tracks near Bussen Quarries. As the southbound Amtrak Texas Eagle approached, only one ATV got off the tracks in time.
No one on board the train was hurt.
