ST. LOUIS (AP) — Debris that apparently fell from a truck is being blamed for damage to several vehicles in St. Louis.
Police were called Monday morning to Interstate 55 after at least a half-dozen cars reported flat tires and damage to their undercarriages. Officials think the vehicles hit broken asphalt that fell from a truck.
Police arrived and the debris was removed, but the result was a significant backup during morning rush hour. No injuries were reported but at least one car went out of control while trying to avoid the debris.
