ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) -  A man who taught class in the St. Louis area for many years has been arrested on suspicion of rape and statutory sodomy.

According to county police, 67-year-old Donald Ingerson worked as a teacher at various schools throughout the St. Louis area from the 1960′s through the 1990′s, before moving to his current home in Ely, Minnesota.

St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch says Ingerson called the prosecutors’ office and admitted to these things, thinking the statue of limitations had run out and that he wouldn’t be charged. McCulloch says that’s not true, in fact, and now he could be facing life in prison.

Investigators believe they’ve identified two victims and the reason they’re making this public in the St. Louis area is because they’re concerned there may have been other victims.

They say anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a sexual crime at the hands of Donald Ingerson to call (314) 889-2341.
