GLENDALE, MO–(KMOX)–A day after the shots rang out, leaving two grade-school aged children and their mother dead, there are still no definite answers about what happened — or why.

Major Case Squad Lt. Tim Fagan says the investigation is ongoing with no final results yet from the medical examiner and crime lab.

The shooting Monday in the 700 block of Hawbrook took the lives of Catherine Murch, 42, and her children, Mitchell, 11, and Mary Claire, 9.

Mitch Murch — the husband of Catherine and father of the children — called 911 to report the shootings around 11:00 Monday morning.

Investigators are not commenting on how the shooting unfolded or what may have led up to it.

More information is expected to be released later today.
