Lager, Steelman Launch Ad Offensive, Ahead of Big Pre-Election Events

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Confrontation is expected Thursday afternoon on KMOX as Lt. Governor Peter Kinder and G.O.P. challenger State Senator Brad Lager square-off in a debate on the Mark Reardon Show at 2 P.M.

The debate comes in the midst of a negative campaign ad being aired by Lager (below), which points to last year’s scandal involving Kinder and a Metro East strip club.

The commercial includes rapid-fire news clips, even making use of KMOX reports. What the ad doesn’t tell you is that in some of the clips, the reporters were actually quoting someone else.

Meanwhile, Sarah Steelman is getting support from former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin in the G.O.P. Senate race, as they head for a campaign booster Friday August 3 in the Kansas City area.

Steelman is running an ad featuring Palin (below) who says  Sarah is an economist who defends our tax dollars like a momma grizzly defends her cubs.”

Palin and Steelman will serve barbecue at a picnic at “The Barry Patch” at 22509 State Line Rd. , Cleveland, Missouri.
