St. Charles Man Faces DWI Charges in Crash that Killed St. Louis Alderman

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — A St. Charles man faces two charges in connection with a crash that killed St. Louis alderman Gregory Carter.

Patrick Mullen, 25, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says Mullen was driving a pick-up truck on eastbound Highway 370 Wednesday morning when he clipped a semi-truck. The semi-truck and Mullen stopped in the center lane to inspect damages.

Alderman Gregory Carter, 54, was driving his UPS truck and was unable to stop in time to avoid the vehicles in front of him.
