Sports on a Sunday Morning: Celebrating 1982 & Rams Camp

Hall of Fame writer Rick Hummel, like Ron Jacober, was covering the St. Louis Cardinals back in 1982 continuing to do so two World Series titles and 30 years later now in 2012. The two reminisce about ‘Whitey Ball’ while looking at the current club.

One player that came to town to celebrate the 1982 World Series Championship was former outfielder Tito Landrum. He took some time to talk about that glorious season with Ron.

St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame President Greg Marecek joined Ron talk about an upcoming event honoring more local athletes.

The St. Louis Rams had an open scrimmage at The Dome on Saturday. As he’s done the past few years, Executive Vice President/COO Kevin Demoff joins the broadcast.

While the Cardinals are celebrating the 1982 World Series Championship, the current club continues to battle for the postseason in the NL. Will they get some help soon? Ron found out from GM John Mozeliak.

After a week-plus of training camp in Earth City, our Rams/NFL insider Jim Thomas has plenty to talk about with Ron.
