Ed Martin Wins Republican Attorney General Primary

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) – Ed Martin has won the Republican primary for Missouri attorney general, setting up a November race with Democratic incumbent Chris Koster.

Martin, who was chief of staff to former Gov. Matt Blunt, defeated Livingston County prosecutor Adam Warren in Tuesday’s GOP primary.

Even before the primary, Martin tried to link Koster to President Barack Obama.

Koster was unopposed in the Democratic primary Tuesday. Four years ago, he won a Democratic contest that was close enough to allow for a recount.
