Kinder Holds On To Win GOP Lt. Governor Primary

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Incumbent Peter Kinder survives a tough challenge in the Republican primary for lieutenant governor.

He narrowly edged State Senator Brad Lager and will face Democrat Susan Montee in November.

If successful, it would be Kinder’s third term as lieutenant governor.

Just one Missourian has won the office three times. Democrat Frank Gaines Harris started his service as lieutenant governor in 1933.
