JOLIET, ILL. (KMOX/AP) - Will County, Illinois, a jury convicts a man for trying to gouge out his uncle’s eyes while yelling “there can only be one king.”

Was it drugs? Drug cartel kingpin Pablo Escobar is quoted as using that phrase. There’s  also a rap song with the quote in it and then there’s a video game with the quote and titled Killing OctaKing Duke Nukem.”

According to court documents, it was a dispute over the remote control. 33-year old  Exulam Holman of unincorporated Joliet, declared “there can only be one king,” as he pinned his 63-year old uncle, Clifford Melvin down and pushed his thumbs into his eye sockets. Deputies reported that Melvin’s eyeballs were swollen and
protruding from their sockets when they found him.

Holman, was charged with of aggravated battery and aggravated domestic battery and  could get up to 14 years in prison when he’s sentenced on Oct. 11.
