Our earlier story:
ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOX)-A Thursday afternoon altercation involving six ‘very young’ men in North St. Louis County ended with one dead, one wounded and the other four in custody.
Police tell us it happened just before 2 pm in the 4900 block of Patricia Ridge Drive, near Old Halls Ferry and Mehl Avenue.
Officer Rick Eckhard says three people were in a home waiting for three others to get there, “Unfortunately when they arrived after going into the home there was an altercation resulting in one of the six being shot and killed and another being shot and injured.
“Of the three who were in the home one of those was injured and his two friends stayed with him. The deceased was still in the house. The two did flee the area but our police officers were able to find them because they were known to everyone and they were in a home a few blocks away.”
Eckhard says detectives don’t know yet what led to the altercation.
He says some of those involved may have been juveniles.
The victims’ names are not being released yet.
