CHAFFEE, Mo. (AP) - The coach at Chaffee High School in southeast Missouri can turn his attention back to football after a brief stint as a snake-catcher.
Coach Charlie Vickery and Chaffee Superintendent Ken Latham were at the football field after practice on Friday when Vickery saw something on a wall. The Southeast Missourian reports that the two men went over to investigate and found a python, 4-5 feet long. They trapped it in a trash can within a few minutes.
The owners lived nearby and claimed the pet snake.
