TIAM: Delays In The Legal System, An Alternative To Open Heart Surgery & TV Guide’s Matt Roush

Why do some cases seem to go to trial so quickly while others take forever to get into court?  We spoke with Susan McGraugh of St. Louis University School of Law to get some answers.

Doctors Hersh Maniar and Alan Zajarias from Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Heart & Vascular Center spoke with us about a new medical procedure that allows surgeons to perform heart surgery without having to actually open the patient’s chest.

TV Guide’s Matt Roush was at as much of a loss as the two of us when it came to trying to figure out why NBC bailed on the closing ceremonies of the summer games so they could run some silly sitcom they’ve been promoting.
