ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - More than a dozen prostitutes have been released from jail after a judge overturned a St. Louis ordinance on street demonstrating, saying it infringed on free speech.
It was the tool police were using along South Grand Avenue to arrest prostitutes who were waiving down potential johns and inhibiting traffic.
Some neighbors in the area have been posting signs telling prostitutes and johns to go away.
Some St. Louis aldermen say they will introduce a stronger ordinance when they meet in September.
