FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, IL. (KMOX) - Another assault at the Red Lobster Restaurant in Fairview Heights. A customer threw water on a waitress and then slapped her with a menu.

Customers and restaurant employees detained the three women before police arrived. They took three customers into custody.  Charges have not been filed yet.

A witness at the restaurant said the women were upset because the waitress was filling their water glasses too often.

In December at the same Red Lobster in Fairview Heights another waitress was attacked by four customers. One of them, Ania Wilkes of Ferguson faces aggravated battery and mob action charges.

Red Lobster released a statement concerning the latest incident.

There was an extremely unfortunate incident involving some guests that occurred at our restaurant in Fairview Heights today.  We take this matter very seriously; the safety of our employees and guests is our highest priority.   The local authorities responded immediately and we will continue to fully cooperate with their investigation.
