KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – Kansas City health officials say they have confirmed an eighth heat-related death from this summer.
The Kansas City Health Department said Monday the latest confirmed death was a male born in 1956.
The Jackson County Medical Examiner is investigating three other deaths as possibly heat related. One previous case of a male born in 1952 is no longer considered heat-related. But the death of a female born in 1955 has been added as a possible heat-related death.
No other details were provided.
