Belleville Man Pleads Guilty to Child Porn Charges

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A Belleville man faces more than a decade in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.

Prosecutors say 46-year-old Jack Baldwin persuaded an 11-year-old boy to send him nude photos late last year. He pleaded guilty to the three-count indictment Tuesday, included one count each of Enticement of a Minor, Transfer of Obscene Matter to a Minor, and Transportation of Child Pornography.

The charges stem from a December, 2011 incident in which, according to U.S. Attorney Stephen Wiggington, Baldwin coerced an 11-year-old to send explicit photos of himself/herself to Baldwin who then sent the photos to his own e-mail account.

The charges carry a combined sentence of between 15 years to life in prison and a $500,000 fine.

Sentencing is scheduled for December 3, 2012.
