NEW YORK (KMOX) - A report on NFL.com , Friday, says if the league sticks with replacement officials for week one of the regular season, the Rams game will be a history-maker.
Shannon Eastin, the first female to work on an NFL officiating crew in the preseason, has been assigned to work the Rams-Lions opener in Detroit on September 9th.
The 42-year-old Eastin is a college football refereeing veteran.
She would be the first woman ever to officiate an NFL regular season game, if the league and its locked-out officials cannot reach a contract deal by next weekend.
