How a Hurricane Can Break a Drought

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – The storm that used to be Hurricane Isaac left quietly Sunday, but it did leave a lot of rain behind.

Greenville, Illinois, in Bond County, picked up nearly 6.5 inches of rain from the storm.

Nashville, Illinois got nearly five inches before the rain ended with a wimper Sunday.

Alton picked up nearly four inches of rain.

In Missouri, Florissant registered 3.78 inches of rain, Ballwin got 2.85 inches, and in St. Charles the rain that came with the hurricane’s remains measured just under three inches.
