ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Investigators are still looking into this morning’s fire at Dolnick’s Furniture in Overland.

West Overland Fire Captain Greg Vogel says there was damage to the roof, but little else.

“We’re looking at the cause still, it looks like it is electrical and confined to the sign up at the top there but no definitive cause at this time,” Vogel said.

Several departments responded, according to Vogel, because a building full of furniture has the potential to be a big fire.

“It’s a huge concern for us because there is such a fire load in a building like that, and that building is actually deceivingly large.”
