UPDATE: Man Stabs Another over Bag of Cheetos on Washington Ave.


ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A man was charged today in the stabbing death of another on Washington Avenue last night, over a bag of Cheetos.

49 year old David Scott is charged with Second Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action.

42 year old Roger Wilkes was stabbed in the chest and died at a hospital.

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Authorities now say two homeless men quarreling near the St. Louis convention center led to a deadly stabbing Tuesday night.

Homicide detectives in St. Louis are investigating the incident which happened shortly before 9:00 p.m. at 6th and Washington.

Officials say the knife attack started with an argument over a bag of Cheetos.

The victim, a 42-year-old man was taken to a area hospital with a chest wound but died a short time later. His name has not been released.

Police on bike patrol caught up with the 49-year-old suspect at 8th and Pine. He is jailed at this time.
