CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (KMOX) –  Crews with the Monarch Fire Protection District are battling a large blaze at a home in Chesterfield.

The two-story home on Carriage Crossing lane was fully involved when fire trucks arrived just before 9 am.

The blaze spread rapidly and quickly went to a second alarm, with Metro West fire personnel providing mutual aid to Monarch FPD.

A fire department spokesman at the scene tells KMOX News that the home appears to have been unoccupied at the time the fire started and no injuries are reported.

He added that it appears the home will be a total loss.

KMOX News and www.kmox.com will have more details on this fire as they become available.
