A scare film about demonic activities, purportedly based on a true story, was number one at the movie box office with an unimpressive total of $9.5 million, down 46% from its opening last weekend.
“Lawless,” the story of a moonshining family in West Virgina based on a book called “The Wettest County In the World,” was number two with $6.0 million.
