Missouri School Bus Driver Arrested while Driving Soccer Team

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (AP) — A southeast Missouri school bus driver is facing charges after being arrested while driving a school soccer team to a game.

The driver’s name was not released. KFVS-TV reports that the driver was transporting the Poplar Bluff soccer team to a game in Arkansas against Anna-Jonesboro on Friday when the driver was stopped for speeding.

A record check during the stop showed that the driver had an outstanding warrant from several years ago on a paraphernalia charge, and the driver was taken into custody.

Anna-Jonesboro sent a bus to pick up the Poplar Bluff players, and the Poplar Bluff School District sent another driver to pick up the bus.
