ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Investigators suspect a series of fires overnight in North St. Louis may be the work of an arsonist.

The first blaze sparked around 2:00 this morning in the 4800 block of Bessie. Even as first responders were bringing that fire under control, flames began consuming a garage a few blocks away, near the corner of Lee Avenue and Penrose.

Less than an hour later, firefighters were on the roll yet again when a call came out for a house on fire in the 4700 block of Lee near Shreve.

No injuries reported in any of the fires.
