Group Tries to Stop Foreclosure on a Veterans Home

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A local group is trying to help a veteran and his family from losing their home.

Bob and Sally Scott and their 26 year old mentally disabled daughter live in Creve Coeur.

Bob is a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He had a stroke and the medical bills caused them to miss some payments.

Zach Chasnoff, with the group Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment, has launched an e-mail campaign against Freddie Mac , who he says is unwilling to modify their loan.

Chasnoff says they live in constant fear that the Sheriff will come knocking anytime.

The Scotts have a court hearing scheduled for Wednesday morning.
