UPDATE: St. Peters Man Who Had Inappropriate Contact with Girls Ruled OK

ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOX) — Tips led police to the man believed to have had inappropriate contact with an eleven year old girl Sunday evening in the Tanglewood Subdivision. But after talking to him, St. Peters Police Officer Melinda Doss says they determined that his intentions were innocent.

“We found out through the investigation that his behavior was innocent in nature, he didn’t realized that what he was doing was frightening the girls.”

He told police he just moved to St. Peters. He is described as having been a youth coach in his previous hometown.

Police say after checking him out, they determined he has no criminal history and is not on the sex offender registry.

Since no crime occurred and no charges are being filed.

The original police report alleged the suspicious man touched the girl’s waist while trying to teach her how to throw a Frisbee.
