ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A Clayton-based bank is closing.
The FDIC reports the assets of Truman Bank have been acquired by Arkansas-based Simmons First National Bank.
Truman Bank depositors will automatically become depositors of Simmons First. Truman’s branches in Clayton, St. Peters, Crestwood and Normandy will reopen today under normal operating hours.
Missouri finance officials said this kind of sale is required by law when a bank is in failing condition.
