ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A St. Charles man faces up to sixty years in prison for embezzling millions of dollars from Metropolitan Urological Specialists.
49 year old Dunard Morris was the business manager for the group and pleaded guilty to three felony counts of mail and wire fraud.
Federal prosecutors says Morris spent the embezzled money on a luxury apartment, high-end jewelry, automobiles, fine wine, designer clothing, international travel even expensive firearms.
In addition, prosecutors say Morris told doctors at Metropolitan Urological Specialists that he was a ex-marine who’d received the Navy Cross medal for heroism and other military honors. He was never awarded the Navy Cross and was instead discharged from the military for misconduct.
Sentencing is set for December 14th.
