An outstate plant serving the auto industry is cutting back. The Dexter, Missouri Daily Statesman is reporting that about 150 employees are included in the layoff at the Faurecia (Four-RACE’-ee-uh) Emissions Control Technologies plant in Dexter.
Company spokeswoman Stacie Tong says many of the employees in the layoff have already left. She says the company is reorganizing.
Faurecia North America, based in France, manufactures seats, vehicle interiors, front ends and exhaust systems in several countries.
Faurecia announced last year it was cutting the Dexter staff to 500 from what was then around 1,000.
