Three Killed In Club VIP Parking Lot

Three men are dead and two more wounded in a gunfight outside an eastside night club early Sunday morning.

It happened at Club V.I.P. on State Street in East St. Louis.  The club was formerly known as Club Casino.  Club V.I.P. was operating
without a liquor license.

Mayor Alvin Parks tells KMOX he heard two groups were fighting inside the club around 2 am and were told to leave.

The dispute moved to the parking lot where the guns came out.

The names of the victims have not been released.

EAST ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A gun battle in the parking lot of an East St. Louis nightclub early Sunday leaves two dead and three injured.

Police say it started after 2am when two groups inside Club VIP on State Street took their fight out to the parking lot. That’s where the shootings happened.

The two men killed were 20 and 21-years-old.  Their names have not been released.

The three injured were taken to the hospital.  One is in critical condition.  The others were treated and released.
