TOULON, Ill. (AP) Police say the mother of an infant reported abducted from outside the U.S. Post Office in Toulon has been arrested. Authorities say 19-year-old Kendra Elizabeth Meaker was arrested after reporting her 3-week-old daughter had been
abducted Thursday from the back seat of her vehicle.
Authorities say Mia Graci Thompson was found Thursday along a road and is in good condition. At the time the alert was issued, state police announced they were looking for a woman driving a gold or tan Buick or Pontiac. Officials released few other details.
Toulon is about 30 miles northwest of Peoria.
