There’s been something like a jailbreak in Brooklyn, Illinois.
Police say they made a traffic arrest early Sunday morning.
As they were patting down the perp, they found a loaded pistol in his pants.
The gun was seized and secured and the man was taken to the Brooklyn police station so he could be transported to county jail at Belleville.
Brooklyn has no holding cell so the man was handcuffed to a bench.
Somehow he slipped out of the cuffs, ran to the back door, knocked out the door window and got away.
The man sought is described as black, in his late 20′s, 6-feet, 220 pounds with short hair and a tattoo sleeve on his right arm. He was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.
Police say he did not have a valid drivers license but he is believed to a resident of St. Louis County.
