ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - If the count holds up, soccer fans in St. Louis and ten other American cities beat the world record for most soccer balls dribbled at a time.
Organizers say Saturday’s America Scores attempt drew 2,149 participants. That is 81 more than the previous world record set in the Gaza Strip.
The St. Louis event was held at St. Louis University’s Hermann Stadium.
The America Scores St. Louis chapter says its mission is to inspire urban youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world.
It’s now up to the Guinness Book of World Records to verify Saturday’s totals from the cities.
