American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Lambert

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — An American Airlines flight took a detour Monday morning, after the plane’s first officer experienced chest pains.

American Airlines flight 2309 from Chicago to Dallas made the emergency landing at about 11.

According to American Airlines spokeswoman Mary Frances Fagan another pilot noticed the first officer needed help and took over.

An t.v. sports anchor from Chicago was on the flight and tweeted that the first officer was taken off the plane by paramedics and put into an ambulance once they landed.

140 Passengers were kept on the plane until American found a new crew to take over.

No one was injured.
